The owners/staff were outstanding! They were very accomodating to all of our needs. We really enjoyed the decor/theme of the hotel. With the exception of the shower, everything was very clean. Attention to details supporting the hotel's theme was fantastic.
The shower was small, shower head not secure in wall and the bottom of the shower curtain was really dirty.

Adorable, cute, neat as a pin. Not big rate value, but fair for the season. Attention to decor detail and immaculately maintained. Spartan in creature comforts... If that's an issue, stay in a hotel, but certainly adequate for a beach motel and we had all our needs met. Room next door had a bachelorette party in swing. We are a couple in our 50's and Palms Retro is ageless in appeal. Outside courtyard with piped in 50's music. Funky motel. Name suits. We were in transit and often stay in Jax Bch en route. Our usual favorite hotel had no availability so we stayed here randomly. Now we have two favorites!
Not overly friendly. Very terse. Agree with a previous comment that innkeeper appeared resentful at having to be there.

The Courtyard in the middle of the Motel, very relaxing and tranquil with the Palm trees, flowers and water fountain. Also the the contiential breakfast was excellent, help yourself to bottled orange and apple juice, coffee and tea, bagels with jam, cream cheese, mini breakfast sauage and biscuit sandwichs, mini donuts, muffins, pound cake, apples, oranges and bannas.
Can not make long distance phone calls, even when using a calling card

We liked the basic but large rooms with eccentric room designs (retro) The small courtyard was great for meeting up for drinks with friends and family. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. 5-10Min stroll to nice shopping/restaurant area and the beach-long with white sand. Will use again when visiting family. Don't forget the 13% tax in the usa- it's added to practically every price quoted.

I wish there was more places like this around! The Palms Retro is a unique/ adorable 50's style beach motel that was renovated with a Hollywood theme. Everything was super clean, staff was super friendly and helpful. It was also very affordable- wish we could have stayed longer!

Great location, great room, bed, bathroom, courtyard and decor. There is a microwave, refridgerator, ceiling fan, nice tv, cable and anything else you may need. The place is adorable, short walk to the beach and to plenty of restuarants and bars. The staff is friendly, coffee is hot and overall a great place!

Cute motel. Pretty landscaping, Water bottles in fridge was a nice touch.
Hated shower. Bad value for money. Paid 130.00 but should have been a 65.00 room.
